Equitop® Myoplast from Boehringer Ingelheim is a muscle supplement for horses which supports the development of healthy lean muscle growth.

It contains Spirulina derived 18 amino acids and includes 9 essential amino acids (the building blocks of protein). Equitop Myoplast also provides antioxidants from natural sources to help neutralise the free radicals produced during exercise, plus essential fatty acids which support the natural anti-inflammatory processes within the horse.

Why are Essential Amino Acids important for horses?

Essential amino acids are important to be supplemented for horses in a product like Equitop Myoplast (Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health) or Maxi-Top Equine (TRM) as they cannot be made by the horses body but they are essential to the wellbeing of the competitive horse.

Equitop Myoplast is suitable for most horses and its appearance is a black pearl granule which horses love. It can be mixed with feed or fed separately. It is widely recommended that Equitop Myoplast should be fed for at least two months, and many horse owners choose to feed Myoplast as part of their daily diet.

One 1.5kg tub typically provides 30 days supply and contains high quality ingredients in every scoop.

This is a coated product and contains both Saccharose and glucose syrup to ensure this product is highly palatable, however if your horse is following a low or zero sugar diet, Equitop Myoplast may not be the right choice for your horse. If your horse requires a low sugar diet or has an allergy or intolerance to Spirulina (algae/seaweed) then you may find that TRM Maxi-Top Equine is more suitable as it contains Amino Acids & Essential Amino Acids derived from Pea Protein and contains zero sugar.
